We’ve been trying to keeps costs to a minimum here at Lean Portland and had to stop using Meetup.com. There is a $15/month organizing fee that comes with groups as large as ours. Through this whole process of administering the collaborative we call Lean Portland, we are trying to figure out a usable, robust set of tools and platforms that do a lot and can be used by a broad audience. For inspiration and ease I copy August’s tech stack whenever possible.
